My previous post was about 25 Not-So-Random Things I was a fan of in 2009. To be honest, a few were a little embarrassing! Not surprisingly, my tastes have changed a bit in two years. Here is the updated list of 25 Not-So-Random Things I am a fan of in 2011.

1. 2009: MIA; 2011 Update: MIA still rocks, but my new favorite is Florence + The Machine. She sings like an angel.

2. 2009: The Sex Lives of Cannibals; 2011 Update: REWORK. Plenty of ideas to run a business by.

3. 2009: icanhascheezburger.com; 2011 Update: damnyouautocorrect.com makes me laugh out loud. Warning: NSFW, kids, and some parents.

4. 2009: Google Reader and Google Notebook; 2011 Update: Now I get most of my info from Twitter. I haven’t checked my Google Reader in months. But I still store useful links in my Google Notebook.

5. 2009: Jillian Michael’s 30-Day Shred; 2011 Update: Jillian kicked my butt so good, that I moved on to P90X. And it hurts so good!

6. 2009: The Creative Alliance; 2011 Update: Still a great firm, but I have a list of new favorite Boulder based firms…email me to see if you are on the list.

7. 2009: Alton Brown; 2011 Update: Yes, I still love Alton. I also love Tina Fey.

8. 2009: REI; 2011 Update: LASIK and a new iMac seem to have taken over the budget this year, so I haven’t been to REI in a while. But that reminds me, I do need a new pair of shoes…

9. 2009: Good Magazine; 2011 Update: WIRED. I am old school and get the physical copy by mail, and read every issue cover to cover.

10. 2009: Sugarbeet Restaurant; 2011 Update: Terroir, in Longmont. Very similar to Sugarbeet, but with lower prices, larger servings, and a friendlier atmosphere.

11. 2009: Tide Stick; 2011 Update: this still saves my life several times a week. You need one!

12. 2009: Bacardi Limon Water; 2011 Update: Sawbuck Malbec. It is a nice transition into red wine for white wine drinkers.

13. 2009: MySpace Music; 2011 Update: Does anyone use MySpace any more? Now I love love love WeAreHunted.com, perfect for anyone hunting for new music.

14. 2009: The Ab-Doer; 2011 Update: P90X has taken the place of The Ab-Doer for a while.

15. 2009: Silver Jeans; 2011 Update: I still love these jeans.

16. 2009: Jack Johnson; 2011 Update: Zac Brown Band. Yes, they are a bit country, but they are perfect for driving in the mountains, and the lyrics are unbeatable.

17. 2009: Kashi; 2011 Update: Wow, I haven’t eaten Kashi in months. I’m not sure what this update would be.

18. 2009: The Soup; 2011 Update: Is The Soup on anymore? We no longer get cable, so my new show is Modern Family. Phil is my favorite.

19. 2009: Pedro Almodovar; 2011 Update: Pedro is still amazing.

20. 2009: m’liss Detox Kit; 2011 Update: This detox kit still gets the job done!

21. 2009: The OC; 2011 Update: Still the best teen drama show ever.

22. 2009:  Long-haired Cats; 2011 Update: Yup, still just like teddy bears, but warm, with teeth and claws.

23. 2009: Origins Modern Friction; 2011 Update: My new favorite from Origins is Dr. Weil’s Conditioning Lip Balm. It is the only lip balm that stands up to Colorado’s dry winter air.

24. 2009: Moleskin Day Planners; 2011 Update: I have not used my Moleskin since I got a smart phone. Now all my lists and notes are in my phone.

25. 2009: www.buyameter.org; 2011 Update: This one needs some thought…my new favorite charitable organization is…
