I grew up in the north-western tundra of Minnesota, right near Fargo, ND (just like the movie, but not really). After high school I spent a semester in Hawaii, had my fair share of fun, and discovered that the saying “Hawaii is a great place to visit, but a terrible place to live” really is true.
I returned to Minnesota and attended MSUM. After considering international business, engineering, philosophy, and several other majors, I decided on Graphic Communications and Spanish. During the last few years of college, I interned at R.L. Engebretson, an Architectural/Interior Design/Construction/Graphic Design firm in Fargo.
Four years ago, my fiance and I decided to see what else the world has to offer. I hate the cold and he loves the cold, so we compromised on Colorado, specifically the Boulder area. We are now married, live near Boulder and love it.
I am a designer by trade and am obsessed with ideas, no matter how big or how small. I am a fusion of old-school values and new-school ideas. I believe in clear communication, clean design, consistent brand standards and customer engagement. I am passionate about connecting with people, teaching new skills and helping in any way.
I get a rush from learning new programs, trouble-shooting and finding the most effective solution. I am a problem-solving ninja, no exaggeration. I approach new opportunities with a mix of eyes-wide-open curiosity and realistic optimism. I am straightforward, fearless and keep my word. My goal is to conquer the world and make it a better place. Let me know if you want in on my plan, or if there is anything I can do for you.
